Biking it in Barcelona

Barcelona is one of the European cities that I've always wanted to visit and grabbed the chance to book a surprise getaway for my boyfriend's birthday during the Easter bank holiday. It took months of planning and keeping it under wraps, but I was so glad that I kept this one quiet.

Barcelona: Get Lost in Gaudi

One of the most unique and memorable ways to explore Barcelona is to get lost in some of Gaudi's most famous works. You'll be surprised to find that his work is scattered across Barcelona, from the lamp posts found in Pla├ža Reial or the striking Casa Batll├│. Whether you're a Gaudi fan or not, there is no denying that his work is breathtaking.

La Bottega del Buon Caffe

I don't generally dine at Michelin-star restaurants, if not at all for that matter. I'm much more of 'pile as much food on my plate as possible and spend the rest of the evening in a food coma' kind of girl. However, since it was Rowena's birthday and our last night in Italy, we thought it would be nice to pull out the stops and check out the highly recommended La Bottega del Buon Caffe.

You, Me and Tuscany

We took the train from Pisa to Florence (or Firenze as you would properly say it) via Lucca. Lucca is a gorgeous little town in between, renowned for the well- preserved Renaissance walls encircling its historic city center - definitely worth a pit stop even just for a couple of hours.

Pizza, Pasta, Pisa

A little late but better late than never right? Now that I've got a new card reader, I can upload all my snaps from my recent travels.

In October, the girls and I booked a girly, carb fueled weekend in Italy for Rowena's birthday, sex and the city style!
