BinTang Restaurant - London

Myself and fellow food lover Sarah (@foodforthink) were kindly invited down to pan- asian restaurant Bintang in Kentish Town. Seeing as it's my first time trying a pan- asian restaurant, I was unsure what to expect.

Greeted by the owner himself, Omar kindly showed us our seats in their garden extension of the restaurant which is a rare find in the city. Decked with fairy lights, the garden is a perfect setting for a summer evening dinner.
The menu boasts dishes from across Asia, from your favourite 'Prawn Toast' to exciting ensembles such as the 'Bbq Squid Leg Tacos'. For starters we went for the 'Seasoned Eddie Mummy Beans' which are edamame beans seasoned with a special sauce, fried shallots and sesame seeds, a perfect twist from your usual.  The 'Salt and Pepper Squid' with tamarind sauce was also delicious.

For the main course, I opted for the 'Beef Bulgogi' which is thinly sliced rib eye beef griddled with a sweet smoky BBQ sauce served on a sizzle plate. Sarah chose the more experimental chicken and waffles.

All washed down with delicious lychee mojito mocktails, tastes the same but without the hangover! The restaurant is 'Bring Your Own', perfect if you plan on drinking. I would definitely recommend Bintang for it's warm friendly atmosphere and intimate vibe, especially if you enjoy authentic Asian food but with a twist.

Thank you Bintang for having us!
