'An agent of change'

Sorry for the delay guys but if you've read my previous post you would know that I have very limited internet connection whilst out here so I'm going to keep all future posts short and sweet!

My sole purpose for coming to Rio was as a volunteer for AIESEC. AIESEC is the world's largest youth-run organisation present in over 113 countries with over 86,000 members and the current project I'm partaking in is called Gira Mundo. Our mission is to make an impact on the youths (ages 7-14) of Brazil especially those less fortunate and deriving from low- income families. To do this we will teach them a range of topics such as multiculturalism, sustainability, human rights and entrepreneurship in order to improve their confidence in speaking English.

The first 'induction' week in Rio consisted of Portuguese classes, getting to know my fellow teammates and exploring the city.
