Greece: Mykonos

Mykonos is one island that I've heard so much about and have always wanted to visit. I didn't take many photos in Mykonos so this post will be short and sweet :)

As it was our first stop from Athens in the Cyclades, we stayed here for 3 nights. Ferries are the best and cheapest way to get around the Greek islands and we booked our ferries well in advance, bearing in mind the ferry companies do have a reputation for changing ferry times and dates.

Of course, Super Paradise and Paradise beach are the most well know beaches. Despite giving it a visit, we both agreed that the party scene wasn't our cup of tea.

As we rented quad bikes, we had more freedom to explore and ventured to a little beach off the beaten track called Agia Anna which I would suggest if you wanted something more relaxing and quiet.

For accommodation, we stayed at a boutique hotel just 10 minutes away from Mykonos Town. Being newbies to Greece, it was easy for us to fall into the trap of being lured by the many restaurants Mykonos Town had to offer. After a lot of trial and error, our pick would have to be D'Angelo's Italian which was situated near the windmills, which is fantastic for home-cooked authentic Italian cuisine.
